羽魂団体戦 + Edo Wonderland + Haircut

Whoa I just realized I haven't blogged 2 weekends in a row and when I try to recall what happened, my brain blanked out. -_-;; It's a bit too soon to forget my memories in Japan.... >< After some struggling I finally remembered what happened... approximately...

Last Last Saturday
I played in a team tournament with team "Hakon" (Wing Soul), and there were 4 teams in our pool. We must beat all other 3 teams in order to advance to the tournament, but unfortunately we lost to the third after we beat two teams. Firstly, I lost my doubles match playing with Ruri-chan... =( 11-13, 9-11.. damnit!! I rolled my ankle during the middle of the first set, but I pretended I didn't roll it cuz our evil fat opponent was pretty damn good... she kept trying to move me around right after I rolled it... but I think I fooled her cuz she stopping hitting everything to me after a while. Well... I still wish I didn't roll my ankle because we *could've* won if I didn't. *sigh*... anyawy, our guys doubles lost their game too, so Hira-san didn't even get to play the mixed and we were shippaishita... +_+...... Nonetheless, team tourneys are always lots of fun. XD

If anyone's interested in hosting tourneys... this is actually a really great idea.. a doubles only team tourney. Each team can have a minimum of 2 girls and 2 guys and a max of 4 each. That means its much easier to form teams, and its very flexible as well! Clubs/groups with a lot of people can send multiple teams as well. The games played are WD, MD and MXD... 3 games so there will never be ties. One person is allowed to play twice. Just do a round robin prelim before the tournament so every team gets to play at least 2 matches... that is such a good setup.. haha if I had the resources, I would host one too!! *hint*Mark*hint* =P

Last Last Sunday
I went to the Animation Museum with Katie but it turned out to be way smaller than I thought. I fell asleep watching an old movie by the author of astroboy (even though it was actually quite entertaining, too bad I couldn't really understand it). After that we went shopping at Shibuya and that was so fun!! haha I ended up buying a pair of $20 shoes and Katie bought a whole bunch of stuff.. hehe... it was a good shopping day.. XD It was nice to catch up and hang out with Katie again, I had a very relaxing day, thankyou!

Last Friday
was a national holiday, so I went to the Tokyo University of Agriculture Festival with Hiroko, Clem, Neil, Lynn, Billy, Victor and Kelvin. It was quite interesting, there were many stalls selling organic products, plants, etc. There were a few people dressed up as vegetables and wearing funny mochiyaki hats.. hehee... I had a lot of food from the stalls there and it reminded me sooo much of night market. XD We dropped by a club and watched a band perform... they were pretty damn good and the leading singer was cute too! Hehe... after that, I returned to Yokohama to get my racket strung while the rest went shopping. I shopped for a bit in Yokosuka after getting my racket and ended up spending $60 in More's City.. I finally found the perfect store... a store with NICE clothes that have my size, and most importantly, their stuff is CHEAP! Their clothes are mostly 1500yen-2000yen and around 3000-4000yen for jackets... I would consider that a pretty good deal in Japan. I went home and had the salmon congee I got from the dollar store, and it was pretty good... mmMm.. planning to go back for more..

Last Saturday
I woke up super early and headed towards 日光(Nikko) with Meghan and Katie. Our plan was to visit the 江戸村 (Edo Wonderland) and then watch red leaves after, but Meghan decided to visit World Heritage and other sightseeing spots instead. We got to the train station and couldn't find the train we intended to take on the panels, so we went to the info center only to be redirected to the tourist center for discount tickets. When we got there, we had 5 minutes before the train departs and luckily, we got our 6000yen tickets (normally it costs 1320x2 (to and fro train) + 4500 (edo wonderland)) and hopped on the train in time and even found seats. After a 2 hour train ride, we finally arrived at Nikko and Meghan and us parted as Katie and I headed towards Edo Wonderland. I love that place... haha it is like a small city with houses built like the Edo era and the workers there are all dressed like people from that era. There were a lot of fun places, one of them is the "ninja house" where for some odd reason, you feel super dizzy once you step in it... the floor is tilted but everything else is not... and it is SO hard to keep your balance when you look up from the floor. haha that was so cool... anyway.. the BEST part of the wonderland was the NINJAS, of course.. XD We were initially ognna watch the 2pm show, but when we got there 20 minutes before the show started, we were told that it's full!! ><.. so we opted for another show and decided to watch the 4pm show instead. The other show was a comedy... hehe it was quite cute and funny, although I wish I could understand their edo accent better.. =P The story line is something along the lines of a simpleminded guy helping a girl to find her dad, and when the girl gets robbed by robbers in the forest they realize that one of the robber is her dad. LOL... anwyay.. enough about that show... the best show was the NINJA show.. the name of it is 秘録 天草大乱!甲賀組忍者 対 天草四郎影忍 . I researched the storyline today and found some historic background of the story... it is about 天草四郎, a Christian who, during the Edo period, tries to promote Christianity despite the opposition of the government. The government (in the story) hires ninja's to assasinate him, but actually he died of sickness. Another man was pretending to be him in order to continue the promotion of christianity (and the belief that 天草四郎 is immortal) and he decides to kill everyone who knew about the death of 天草四郎. And so there goes the huge ninja vs fake 天草四郎 fight... XD It was soo good I loved it. Oh and there was a ninja who wasn't performing in this show, he had GRAY hair and he gelled it up sooo nice.. looked exactly like Kakashi!!! SOOO COOL!!!

By the time we finished the ninja show, the sky was already getting dark so we hopped on the train back home. It was a tiring day, but it was well worth it!!! XD

Last Sunday
I went to get a haircut with Billy at CLAPS in Yokosuka... XD hehe I brought in a coupon and got 50% discount off color and perm.. so I decided to do both!! hehe.. Got a haircut AND color AND perm... hehe my hair stylist was so cool too, he vaguely resembled Kimura Takuya from "Beautiful Life".. I love hair salons!! hehe I like the smell, the design and the people in it. I asked the hair stylist for his おすすめ and he said "The color for this Autumn is CHOCO" so I went for Choco colored hair.. =P hehe well.. I like my new hair.... a lot!! XD I hope I can make it look as nice after washing it tomorrow... -_-;; Thanks Billy for waiting for me!!
