Mini 羽魂 Cup WINNER!

It's 2am, I have to wake up in 6.5 hours and yet I still want to blog this...
Hira san and I are Mini 羽魂 Badminton Cup WINNER! XD We are 横須賀通研 and お昼ご飯食べない team... LOL.... Sooo happy right now cuz: First of all I didn't expect I would be able to play with him cuz I was paired with someone else before... second of all... didn't expect to win! We almost lost in the semi-finals... went into 3rd set against Masa and Yokoyama san... but we pulled through and won in the end!! Hehee... すっごくうれしい~~ I won a 羽魂 T-shirt, a pair of YY socks and a bottle of salt.. that was kinda random but I'm not complaining-- I only paid 1000¥ for this tourney. =D In addition... I got rid of something I wanted to get rid of!! hahaha feels great!!!

After that I joined Raymond at Tokyo Badminton club... everyone there was nice except for ONE PERSON... who totally killed my mood for the day... &*&@&*@#*& I have never seen any JAPANESE so rude and impolite... and those who know me well all know that 我最憎俾人睇唔起. I hate to say it but... that guy is such an ass!!!!
Ramen after badminton was goood... MMmmm... I love the half cooked eggs... <--just now I accidentally typed "half cooked eyes" instead... omg thats gross.

Talking to a badminton friend, Nami-chan about working in Japan (she's in the IT industry altho she does translation stuff).... for some reason I am feeling a bit reluctant to move to Japan and work after graduation... but this may or may not change within the period of time between now and the end of this year so.... good to keep my options open? =)

It's getting too late and I'm lacking sleep... goodnight... zZzz

=======================================

How come nobody told me that Sarah Kong beat both Alice Man AND Lindsay Thompson in singles in VRC Summer tournament???
Wow................. I am amazed to the point where I am speechless.
Good job Sarah!

Missing Vancouver and baddiholics oh so badly.

Damn it Jenn... that DVD you gave me with all the pix and videos of your birthday made me miss baddiholics so damn much to the point where my eyes became watery when watching the videos.......
回去之後﹐一切還會像以前一樣嗎 ?
たぶん。。。そうじゃないかなあ。。。
I miss the old times........ but its a time of change and there's nothing I can do about it.

Listening to Jay Chou's "November's Chopin" again...
I have some special feelings attached to this album and a few other albums... brings back memories... looking at now and then... 有種"風景依然﹐人面全非"的感覺.
I don't know why... 這幾天特別感慨. 企盼著的東西還未出現....

I finally bought my first YY Shirt... XD Not because I think I'm good enough to wear one... but cuz I'm running out of sports Tshirts since I'm baddying 4 times this week @_@. First it was wednesday baddy... and that was fun as usual. I played surprisingly well... must be the onigiri dinner I had before I went. Then on Friday.. Raymond came to visit and he brought me to another badminton place.. oh boy I had SO MUCH FUN there. I got to meet Japan's top 16 mixed double pair.. Goh san and Shimamura san... holy crap the girls there are SO GOOD. I played a game of doubles with them and I could still keep up until around 15 points... then there was like a 5 minute long rally... and after that the heat got to me and I couldn't catch my breath at all... They just kept going and going and it seemed like they weren't tired at all. CRAZY! but it was CRAZY FUN!! XD I'm planning to go back there every friday... too bad I won't get to go to the other place anymore, but that solves a problem for me. Then, on saturday I went to play with MKCLUB.. people there are generally not as good.. but it was still a good 2 hours of non-stop baddying... and TODAY! in around 9 hours I will be playing in a mini-tournament held by the club members... and after the tourney... guess what? MORE baddy with Raymond at Tokyo badminton club.. XD!! This week is full of baddy fun... =)

Another thing worth blogging is that BILLY is here!! And he lives ONE STREET away from me!! WOOOOT!!!!!! Hehee. that means I'll have company from now on!! heheee I'm sooo happy... someone else is stuck with me in this southern corner!! I'm not a loner anymore.. lol...

I'm glad the Hokkaido trip planning is going well.... tomorrow I will go back to the travel agency to sort things out... DS Lite shopping will probably have to wait till Monday.... hopefully Kojima will have some in stock XD

It seems like most people I meet here are all either married or engaged... congrats to Raymond and Ayako.. they already have plans to get married. 幸せだなあ~ =) Did I mention I met someone named Hira from badminton... he is by far one of the Japanese friend I like the best in Japan... =D he's super nice and funnny too...even tho his english is not good he still tries to explain everything to me. and best of all, he shares the same interest in badminton as I do!! oh don't get me wrong.. he is married as well.

I should probably go to bed... sorry for spamming the CJP blog with a lot of short and personal entries.... =P Goodnight guys.

WTF...

I just had the most freakiest experience ever... holy shit.
Thanks Kel for saving my life...... I owe you one.

*edited*

oops sorry for the profanity... wrote the blog during spur of the moment.
On a brighter note, Raymond's here to visit! (not me, but to visit her gf... boo.. still good)

SMASH! Badminton Manga!

For baddiholics: I found a new badminton comic in Japan!! It is currently published in "Shonen Magazine" and its called "Smash!". For a preview of the manga go here (I'm sorry but it's in japanese!). Hopefully I will be able to find some scanlations later on.... XD It looks really good!!!

富士急 Highland + Sunrise @ 富士山

Those two may not sound like an appealing combination to do within 24 hours... but we did it!!! =P Thanks Leon for organizing this trip... =)

On friday Duncan and I headed over to Shinjuku together to meet up with the CJP crew. We headed over to our ryokan across from Kawaguchiko station to get some rest b4 climbing Mount Fuji the next day.. haha that didn't really happen.

*Mari, me and Shirley in our cozy room
We got to sleep for around 6 hours before we woke up for FujiQ Highland! The first ride we went on was the water log ride... Japanese ppl actually buy raincoats to wear before they go on the ride... but our group decided to be brave and this was the resulting scene:

Then we went on a rollercoaster ride called "ええじゃないか" after a 2 hour wait (yep that's right, 2 HOURS!!) but that was definitely worth it!!! It's the BEST rollercoaster I've ever been on... basically you go up the ramp on your back facing the sky, and when you reach the top there's a little bump where they flip you around so you're actually facing downwards when you get to the 90 degree drop... the rollercoaster also holds the world record for having the most spins (?).. something like that. haha... can't describe in words how good it actually was... I'll let the pictures speak for me:

See the 90 degree downwards drop?? CRAZZZY!!! CRAZY FUN!!! hahahaaa...
After those 2 rides we also went on a ride called King of Coaster Majiyama which was another crazy rollercoaster ride, and a few other ones. Too bad Tongxin, Kamil and I missed the other ride, but that's okay! till next time!

At around 7:30pm we arrived at 富士山五合目, the fifth station of Mount Fuji to begin our hike up the mountain for sunrise. We started off with this group:

but eventually we split up into two, then we split up further into groups of 2 or 3 people. I started off hiking with Lynn, Shirley, Leon, Helen, TongXin, Melody and Patti, but later on I was only with Lynn, Shirley, Leon and Helen, and in the end it was Shirley and I.

On the hike up we noticed there were two hanabi festivals going on down the mountain!! Hehee it was quite interesting watching them from above... like Lynn said, they turned from Hanabis (fireworks) into hana's (flowers)... =) The view from the mountain is amazing... too bad my camera is not good enough to capture it. I hiked up the mountain without a stick or flashlight, and it actaully wasn't too bad. Without having to hold those things I can move more freely. We made it smoothly up to station 8.5... there was a "human jam" there cuz everyone was rushing up the mountain to make it there for the sunrise. On the way up we met up with Vincent, Kelvin, Billy, Duncan and Mari. We finally arrived to the top at around 4am... had a bowl of 800yen ramen (which was actually instant noodles)... then sat back to enjoy the view of the sunrise above clouds.

The hike up the mountain was actually not too bad... it started getting really really cold at the 8.5th station (felt like ski trip instead of mountain trip), and I started getting a headache from station 8.5 onwards. >< That was not fun... and the oxygen I bought didn't really help. Nonetheless.. the Asahi was definitely worth the pain that seems insignificant anymore. =)
At around 6am we started hiking down the mountain. We got to the 5th station at around 11am, took the bus back to Kawaguchiko station, grabbed some souveniers then trained back home. By the time I was home.. it was already 5pm.. @_@... 32 hours without sleep and I was exhausted. But what did I do?? Sleep?? Nope! I was trying to get this... Pink DS Lite selling for half price... but there's only 24 and they're only selling one every 3 hours. Out of the 8 times I got into the checkout screen twice but was still beaten by the time I hit the checkout button. ~><~ I want half price DS Lite!!!

Anyways.. I finally got to bed at around 11pm... woke up for work at 8:30... almost missed the bus (but didn't, fortunately)... and here my week begins again.....

===========================

This trip was great... except...... I lost 2 things that may seem trivial to others, but are very important to me... oiy. I was quite upset by the end of the trip so I'm sorry if I spazzed at you.
slowing losing pieces of memories.....

===========================

Today I stayed at work from 9:45 - 7:15... hehee 9.5 hours!!! Wow that's a new record for me... Anyways, I was so tired this afternoon that I took a nap in the staff resting room for 15 minutes... lied on the sofa and passed out.. LOL haha it felt so good!! I dun think anyone saw me sleeping but even if they did....... meh!! I think this should be one of the benefits for flex-time workers right? (even tho I have core hours) =P

===========================

Stupid xanga... doesn't allow comment from non-users...
KSo: Thanks... =P I think I have mastered the art of eating dry food (rice, etc) very fast.. now I just gotta train myself in eating wet food (noodles, ramen, etc) then I can come back and challenge you. LOL

Wilsilon: I'm adding oil at work already la! You add oil FINDING work! hehe.. Try your best to STAY IN VAN... =P

*sigh* I'm missing baddiholics so badly....

1st visitor from Canada, HOO~~

Haven't had a chance to blog these few days...

Yesterday I met up with Edwin and his wife (oops sorry I forgot her name ><) for dinner in Yokohama because they're visiting from Canada!! =D My first visitor!! Hehe it feels so good to see someone from back home... *sigh* make me miss badminton and training sooo much!! Well anyways, we went to an Izakaya for dinner and the food there was pretty good... kind of pricey though, I kept thinking of how I can probably get better food from Zakkushi in Vancouver. >< haha.. afterthat we shopped a bit at this 5 story store that sells all sorts of stuff from cosplay costumes to electronics, and that's where I got my dozen of working gloves for 299¥ (let me know if u need one for Mount Fuji).. I also got a toque, batteries (for my flashlight), and icepack (for my ankle) for Mount Fuji so now I'm all prepared! Just need to get some more dried food! After shopping I got home at around 12 and am completely exhausted at work today. Oh boy... and tonight there's badminton, and tomorrow night is Menjo san's farewell party! haha hopefully I'll be able to relax a bit on friday.... oh wait... friday night is CJP Party!! HOOO~~~ probably not gonna be able to get some real rest till next week then!

Anyways for CJP... I heard that there's gonna be a typhoon this weekend so climbing Mount Fuji might be dangerous... and I also heard from Vince that this weekend is the busiest weekend @ FujiQ Highland so there may be looooong lineups... >< why all these negative news? booo... hoepfully everything will turn out fine and we'll all have fun!!

One of those days...

It's one of those days where you go to work and everyone's on holiday..
one of those days where you feel so tired but still have so much work to do.
one of those days where you step on dog poop... while wearing flip flops.
I've just had one of those days...... ><

I think I need to stop eating seasame related food....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUR (JENN)!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUR~~
Re-celebrate your birthday after you arrive in Japan!! Hehehee... we'll go overnight K and party it up!!! XD

Today I set out preparing for Kourakuen Youenchi @ Tokyo Dome with Kelvin and Victor.. but due to strong rain and thunderstorm, we ended up going to Ikebukuro instead! So after having lunch @ a baseball themed cafe and shopping for a bit at an anime products shop (omg so much BLEACH, ONE PIECE, DEATH NOTE etc... stuff!!), we headed over to Ikebukuro.. hehee... it was definitely worth going... we visited "Namja Town" with an ICECREAM CITY... just that by itself is already worth the trip!

*SNAKE icecream!!!????!?

LOL... I had 3 icecream at 3 different stores... first one was a chestnut flavored icecream. I also got to try chicken wings flavored icecream and high class hotel icecream.. mMmm.. The second cone I had was a "fried icecream"... "fried" on a cold plate... mMm that was good too! Third one was black icecream.. on a black cone!!

*Yummy black icecream made from black rice and black seasame

Aside from all that yummy icecream, that place has a lot of cool games for kids!! hehee altho we're not kids anymore we still enjoyed it a lot (or at least I did =P). Most of the games there were interactive and you have to wander around the area to fulfill missions. One of the games was called NambaBirds Secret Agency where you go around to area taking tests to become a spy... Victor and I went through that twice cuz we failed the first time (and the second. ><) and thought we would do better next time. haha.. after that, we went to Gyoza Stadium and ate a dish of 5 color gyozas (black, orange, green, white and yellow).. it tasted pretty good!!

*5 colored Gyoza!

=D Sorry Victor!! Because of me you couldn't go see Hell's Hotel... =P We went to Sega afterwards and took some sticker photos. Too bad I dun have a scanner... otherwise I'd post them up here too!

Gotta go to bed soon so I can wake up for "Gedo Senki", Comike (possibly?) and Bayside Outlet shopping tomorrow!! Goodnight!

==============================
Sidetrack:

*Bleach Musical!!! haha nice casting... all actors' appearance really gives the "feel" of the character from the manga..

GIRLS DOUBLES, HOOO!!~~

Oh I think I forgot to mention that I've been using the word "Hooo" recently cuz I watched Hardgay on TV last weekend.. Lol you just gotta love that guy.

As the title suggests I finally got to play GIRLS DOUBLES today!!! YEAHH!!! That was so fun... (altho playing doubles with guys are fun too) and I got to meet my partner, Rei san!! She's such a cute person... =D I really like her!! She's not as good as Jenn... and of course we dun have the *2 fingers moving constantly towards each other* kinda click... but still she was way better than I expected. Japanese girls plays really "soft" doubles... hmm it's a lot of high clears, drops, pushes... but drives and smashes aren't used a lot and that sucks! Cuz I think I'm better at counter-attacking than attacking... haha anyways... it was a fun night altho after I got home at 12:30 I am completely exhausted, I think I strained my hamstring and my ankle (the one I twisted twice in Montreal) is getting reeeally sore... perhaps its time for a rest... before MOUNT FUJI, HOOO~~~~

My payoff for this wonderful day is my black converse sweater I got in Kyoto.... I lost it sometime during badminton... ~><~ I remember looking around and seeing that nothing was left behind before I left.. but I guess I was wrong. I really liked that sweater too... maybe if I go back to the baddy place 2 weeks later someone would've picked it up... *fingers crossed*

=======================
Hmm.. this is not the first time its happened... I had a really bad feeling about it but I tried to shake it off.... but it turns out I was right again. >< なんってこれ。。どうするほうがいいですか。。?

Eating prunes right now.. mmMmm.. so yummy.. but so... expen$ive....
That reminds me of the time when I was in Ann's house.. saying "I want Ann's prunes".... lol back then I didn't know that prune had a double meaning. -_-;;

Neil: Xanga doesn't allow non-users to leave comments.. pshhh. Anyways.... hoepfully no more freaky things will happen to you... lol if anything, try wearing the "Angel" instead of the "Devil" and maybe you will start getting gospel dreams. HAHA... and DAMN you owe me a good night's sleep.... why does that not sound right. -_-;;

Just one last message... always trust a girls' sixth sense.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DELEN!

Happy Birthday Delen~~ It's too bad that everytime you go back to Van, I'm not there! >< Well nonetheless I'm sure u'll have just as much fun celebrating with Baddiholics! Hope you had a good one!

After reading Neil's blog about his "devil's ring" on Wednesday, I got kinda freaked out and I couldn't fall asleep that night. When I finally did I kept waking up being paranoid about my TV. -_-;; So on thursday morning I was so tired that I slept in and missed the 9:18 bus (which I later found out its actually the 9:16 bus, not 9:18.. no wonder I missed it), missed the fastest train (cuz for watever reason I thought I was supposed to go the opposite direction), and finally got to work around 30 minutes later than usual. >< Argh!!

Anyways I thought this was worth blogging. Yesterday I made Okonomiyaki dinner with Meghan at home. I bought one of those Okonomiyaki packages, we got some sauce, cabbage, green onions and some toppings at a nearby department store LIVIN, then went home and started cooking! The whole process was kind of.. chaotic I would say, cuz we were trying to cook and eat at the same time... hehe but due to Meghan's excellent kitchen management and cooking skills, we managed to do fine.. =D The okonomiyaki was very tasty... mmMm... plus the marble soda!!! hehe it was a good dinner. XD Will post some pix up later....

===========================
One thing I learnt here in Japan is that everyone here either buys CD or they rent them. Nobody ever "downloads" songs... =P that's one of the things where I've learnt not to ask Japanese people after getting weird looks from them after asking... ><

Also, I've picked up the habit of eating really really fast.. cuz everyone in my group eats fast so I feel really bad for making them wait for me during lunch. Today I can't believe I ate a big plate of yakisoba in 10 minutes....

Cacao Pretz Addict

Currently addicted to this:

Roast Pretz and Salad Pretz is NOTHING compared to CACAO PRETZ...

Time for a short blog before I go to bed... god I've been sleeping later and later ever since I got internet. Today I got to play 2.5 hours of FUN and COMPETITIVE BADDY!!! YAYY!!! I am so happy.. it was all guys there and around 1/3 the guys were around KSo level? Since there were no girls the guys were forced to play with me so it was quite fun.... heheee... and on top of that, I met someone who would introduce me to another club with more girls!!! So hopefully I will be able to meet some girls around my level there... and to top it off... Kenji san called me today telling me that he found me a partner for the doubles tournament next month! XD URESHIIIII~~~ hehe of course it's still nothing compared to playing in team JR but still... I'm happy that I get to participate in tournaments! =D

Sunburnt and B FLET'S INTERNET HOO!!!

August 5th

I wish someone could explain to me the concept of MULTIDIMENSIONAL WAVELETS... cuz its bugging the hell out of me at work since I can't figure out how they work. ><

Anyways, I shouldn't let work bother me over the weekend. Today I woke up at 8:30am to go to Umikaze park with Meghan to save spots for the hanabi at 7:30pm... thats right.. we got there 11 hours earlier to save spots. And it was HELLA hot and sunny... >< We were there until around 12 when we finally decided to head over to LIVIN for some air-conditioned indoor food shopping. After meeting up with Menjo san and Mayumi, my shoulder started getting really sunburned so we headed over to LIVIN once again after cooking ourselves under the sun for another 2 hours or so. We decided to change into our yukatas, and by the time we got back to the park it was around 5:30. We drank some beer (and I couldn't even finish mine cuz I STILL can't stand the taste of beer.. ugh) and then some of us headed over to LIVIN to grab some more drinks. I got a few coolers and I went to visit the saleslady I met at LIVIN. She's super nice!! She was going to invite me to her place to watch the fireworks if I were watching it alone. Too bad this time I had to refuse because I'm with some friends, but we exchanged phone numbers and maybe next time I can visit her. =) After LIVIN we headed back and the fireworks has gotta be one of the best I've seen so far in Japan. There were 3 shows going on at the same time so when one side stopped, we could watch the other 2 sides. The fireworks were GREAT... altho I wish I had stopped trying to take pictures earlier to enjoy it more. After that we went to KARAOKE!! The place with all you can drink pop and all you can eat icecream!

Oh.. and highlight of the day was me eating THREE Giant cones + 2 big cups of icecream at Karaoke!!

*Meg and I were bored...

*Us in Yukata!

*fireworks @ Umikaze Park

*I scream, u scream, we ALL scream for ICECREAM!!!

And BFLETS INTERNET in less than 12 hours!!! Yayyyy!!! XD
================================
August 6th

One could say I "wasted" the whole day staying home not doing anything, but I would otherwise... cuz today I finally got INTERNET installed! Woohoo!!! hehee while waiting for the NTT guy to come, I watched a mens volleyball game (Japan vs Poland)... it's too bad that Japan lost, they came very close in the first set taking them to 35 points... but then they just lost it in the second and third set. After I got my internet, I went online and started massively downloading stuff... catching up on comics, downloading songs, chatting with peeps back in Van, webcamming... all that internet stuff I've been missing in the past month!! Hehee... it feels great. =P

This thursday the Deathnote movie is coming out!! I wanna see I wanna see!! Other movies I also wanna see are:
-Pirates of the Carribean 2: The dead man's chest
-ゲド戦記
Anyone wanna watch any of those with me???

Juicy Coulture in Japan?

Kyole: You thought there was no juicy coulture in Japan? Hehe you are wrong. This outlet I'm going to next weekend has a Juicy Coulture OUTLET!!!
