Today ended on such a happy tone, contradictory to how my day started. Let's just focus on the happy things from now on. After work today my group members held a Welcome party for me and this other internship student at a Yakiniku restaurant. We were seated in 3 separate tables but they were in the same room, so that was alrite. The best part is that people who sat in my table were all my favorite people from the group. There's Uchiyama san who's super duper nice and friendly, Then there is Taniguchi san who is very nice also and he's the one who translates most conversations for me. Also, there is Nishiooka san.. he is a very interesting person I find because of his attitude. Hehee he's a very funny person... . but the way he speaks/acts carries a certain kind of arrogance that reminds me of my brother a lot. So dinner was really fun, and I actually made a few jokes in Japanese (by suggesting to go to Okinawa in the end of year trip, of course I was JYOUDAN DAYO!? haha)... the food was OKAY.. nothing compared to Korean AYCE BBQ tho.. hehe. I am surprised to find that both Naito san and Uchiyama san smoking though...
After dinner we went to Karaoke! hehee the best part of the karaoke was not their subarashii microphones, nor was it their handheld LCD song picker device.. it was their FREE ICECREAM (and all u can drink pop)!!! OMG!! hahaha this is heaven!!!!! And surprise! They have sooo many songs in cantonese/mandarin.. pretty new ones too! I sang a song from F.I.R and another one from Faye. Surprisingly everyone can sing fairly well!! hhehee.. it was honto ni tanoshikatta. Dekireba... motto ikitaideshou!!

Today I had my first japanese class with my supervisor's wife. Basically, she prepares a newspaper article for me and when I read it, she explains words that I don't understand to me. It was good cuz I get to learn a lot of daily tango and also I got to practice my kaiwa with her. After that, I also experienced my first english lesson teaching his 9 year old son. I didn't really know what to do cuz all they told me was to chat with him, so I read a Berenstain bears book with him and just... chatted with him for the rest of the 45 minutes. It went pretty well I guess, considering that its my first time teaching someone. mm... I'm getting really tired. goodnite.

I paid a visit to NTT's gym today and it was sooo refreshing after I had a good work out!! Somehow I don't feel TOO out of shape.. let's hope I don't feel too sore tomorrow.
The plan this weekend is to tour around Tokyo for a bit on saturday then watch the fireworks at Akakusa with CJP peeps.. then on Sunday, tour around Kamakura (the home of samurai's when they reigned over Japan) and go to a few zen temples. Hopefully I will be able to find peace of mind there. =)
(relatively) nearby places that I want to visit includes:
-Kanazawa
-Yokohama's Chinatown
-Nagoya
-Shibuya (I've already been there but I wanna spend a whole day there)
-Shinjuku
-Akihabara
-Ueno
-Harajuku
-Ryogoku District (for sumo wrestling)
-Tsukiji Fish Market
-Kabukiza (to watch some kabuki =P)
-Tokyo Tower
