WOOT!! I got to meet Japan's #4 singles player today during baddy training.. turns out he's a "coach" of the group I joined... even tho he only shows up like once in a blue moon. Hahaha but it was cool cuz he did drills that Darryl did with us... haha DOUBLES drills (altho he's a singles player.. duno why)!! Double woot! hahaha... and the best part... he's kinda cute... =) hahah too bad he doesn't know any place to play around Yokosuka.. until then I guess I'll have to spend 2 hours commuting to this place. >< I realized that the guys here.. aren't quite Elite level... probably because they never got any real training before... hmmm... I wish I could find some place with better girls to practice wiht. On the other hand, I'm joining a tournament with them on August 27th.. =D hehe maybe I will get to meet some other girl players then. 楽しみにしているね!

Visited Kamakura today with Kelvin and his French friend, Adrien. We visited various zen temples and shrines (enkakuji, kenchouji, hachibangu). I really liked the samurai statues on Kenchouji actually, although it took us a while to hike up there. It was like a mini version of Grouse Grind.. hehe anyways, here are some pix:

*statues of samurais on the hill of kenchouji.

Afterwards, we rode on the Enoden line and visited the great buddha. Actually I loved it a lot because even though the weather was hot, there were ice-cream stalls every 5 minutes on the street! I had a super delicious purple yam soft icecream, Kelvin had a seasame icecream with bean powder (which looked reeeally good too) and Adrien had cappuccino.

mMMm... icecream.... Adrien treated all of us to crepes for lunch also.. thanks Adrien!! The banana chocolate + icecream crepe was a bit too chewy/hard for my liking but it was alll gooood. =) On the way to visit the big buddha, we got stuck in this shop selling 宮崎駿 products... omg!! Just look at some of these! I wish I could bring the whole store home, altho I ended up NOT spending any $$ there at all. =P

After kamakura, we rushed over to Asakusa for the fireworks festival but due to miscommunication we ended up not being able to meet up with Leon and the group. >< Nonetheless we still had a pretty good view of the fireworks and the trip to Asakusa was definitely worth it.

*two of the few pictures I took that wasn't blurry... haha I wish that lamp post was out of the way though. ><
After the fireworks we finally met up with Leon and them... and someone suggested... overnight Karaoke at Ikebukuro!! So we went... and we sang and sang (and ate, too) from 12am - 5am.. **WILSILON!! You should be proud of me! hahaa OVERNIGHT KARAOKE!! We gotta try that sometime.. lol** Unfortunately, no pix cuz most of the pix I took were blurry cuz I didn't wanna use flash. Finally when the train started running again at 5am we went home. It was sooo tiring but sooo fun!! Hehe... I went home and took a 6 hour nap(?) hehe and now... I gotta head out to get some cash. Special thanks to Kelvin for lending me cash (since I STILL haven't received my cash card yet)!!!
*11:27pm
Cleaned my apartment for the first time in almost a month... I'm so glad I finished cleaning my washroom, can't believe how much dirt was in there. >< This is my first time EVER cleaning a bathtub, sink and toilet... haha it was.. interesting, I must say. =P It actually wasn't so bad... but right now I do appreciate Helen (helper in my house) much more. Next up in queue for cleaning: closets and table tops! (This should be much easier.. *phew*)

On a side note, I wanted to show Kyole THIS picture:

And this is for Jenn: remember him?? Goalie from Pride?? Soooo cute in icecream commercial.. so I took a pic of the TV.
